Get ready for the Salt River Schools X-STREAM Xtravaganza!
STREAM stands for Science | Technology | Reading | Engineering | Art | Math and is an integral aspect of learning here at Salt River Schools. This year, we’re highlighting literacy and storytelling, especially as it relates to teaching and learning O’odham and Piipaash language and culture! We’re inviting everyone who attends to dress up as their favorite character from any story (book, cultural/oral story, etc.). Click here to view videos of the stories told at the recent ENLC Storytelling Night if you need ideas!
The event is open to the whole Community and is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Salt River High School in the gymnasium (parking will be in the south lot along Highland Avenue).
Students and teachers are working hard now to create a night of awesome learning, including science projects, demonstrations (drones, Ozobots, robots, coding), a student art show, slime making, and SO MUCH MORE!
There will be Community and area organizations doing super-cool X-STREAM activities and handing out great giveaways! PLUS, the Higher Education team will host a FAFSA form party for those looking to apply for college funding!
